Your Turn

Last Wednesday was the two month “anniversary” of this blog. On July 21st the first blog went out to a very small group. Since then there have been 42 people to subscribe and 1,130 views of the website.

My sincere thanks to those of you who have subscribed to the blog; your subscriptions encourage me to continue writing it. Additionally my thanks to those of you who have taken the time to comment on the blog, I truly appreciate your interest.

What I would like to request now is your thoughts on where we go from here. My wife has expressed repeated concern that I was much too wordy and should drastically cut down on the length of my blogs so I have decided to do that effective immediately. You should notice a drastic reduction in word count starting with this one.

Another question is frequency of the blog; right now I am limiting the blog to two per week and wonder if that may be one too many. I don’t want the blog to feel like a burden to anyone.

Yet another question is subject; what would you like for me to write about? I’ve enoyed writing on subjects I thought might be of interest to you but it would be helpful to find out what subjects you would like for me to include.

Please reply with comments to the blog if you have any thoughts or suggestions. Your input will help insure this blog stays on the right track. Thanks again for your interest.

  1. Hi David,

I think two per week is awesome.

I think any of the topics that we covered in our Bible study would be great: comparative religions, maybe the prophecies of Daniel, the series on science and creation.

Maybe look at it as an online Bible study class for people who don’t go to Bible study.

I’ve been looking recently at just how desensitized and disconnected people have become from one another. There is a lack of empathy as well as reason. The thing that struck me on the anniversary of 9/11 was that the U.S. couldn’t be conquered by force but it has been by thought. People buy into sound bites and don’t even stop to question what it really means.

Maybe you’ve already seen it, but here is something that my mom told me about and it is so freaky and in your face that the hand of God is working, I don’t know how anyone could say otherwise:

  2. I enjoy your blogs and not sure you are too wordy. A topic of interest to me is what happens when you die? I mean do you instantly go to heaven as you are or do we not get our heavenly bodies until all are in heaven. People say, Grandma is watching over me but I am not sure I believe that as the sin of earth would taint joy of heaven. Confused on Lake Houston this Friday night. Oh, you mentioned a blog on the world before days of Noah. Now that sounds interesting.

  5. I love your blogs. I like the 2 per week and think they are very deep and thought provoking. I like the length and don’t think they are too wordy. I like Don’s idea about some comments on the current political climate!

  6. David,

I just finished your “What happens next” blog, I found myself so engrossed in each section that I had to finish it. I am perfectly fine with the long version because the information is so enthralling. Please send me the timeline pdf when you get a chance. Also, I would like to have the present day country equivalent for the nations in scripture who will be attaching Israel if you have this.

    thanks,

There will be two attacks on Israel before the Tribulation’s final battle of Armageddon, the battle of Psalm 83 and the battle of Gog and Magog.

In the battle of Psalm 83 Israel will be attacked by its immediate neighbors which may include armies from areas that are now part of the nations of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and the Palestinian Territories.

On the subject of Gog and Magog I attach a copy of a paragraph from a Bible study I did on prophecies in Ezekiel: “Chapter 38 introduces Gog and Magog and the first battle associated with those names. The Bible does not specifically provide the timing of this battle and much speculation has taken place as to when this battle may occur. The general consensus is that Russia will lead a coalition which includes Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya, and Turkey.” My timeline shows the battle of Gog and Magog following a time of peace which is created by Israel’s victory in the battle of Psalm 83.

  8. I always get around to reading the blogs, David. The more frequent your blogs, the longer it may take me to get around to reading them but I enjoy them all. Keep up the good work!
