A Very Worthy Cause
For several years now I’ve been a life member of “The 100 Club” and have chosen to exercise the privilege of contributing monthly to what is called the Survivors Fund. For those of you who may not be familiar with the Survivors Fund here is a brief description from their website:
“100% of your tax-deductible donation to the Survivor’s Fund goes to help the dependents of peace officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. When the unfortunate happens – The 100 Club appeals to its members and the public for donations and then, based on need, disburses funds to the dependents family.”
I noticed this month an appeal to spread the word about the work being done by the Survivors Fund and thought this might be a good opportunity to share this information which is why this is appearing this week.
For those of us who live in the Houston area this is another opportunity to help those who help us. I encourage you to check it out and make a donation if that idea appeals to you.
Thank you!
