A Good News Break from Sin, War and Death!

While the Media Pummels Us with Bad News, There is Good News Available!

The Christian Enjoys a Relationship with the Creator, as a Free Gift, that Infinitely Surpasses Anything that Could be Imagined!

At his First Advent, Jesus Christ, who is our Creator God and the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, accomplished what was totally impossible for mankind to achieve; the opportunity for full reconciliation between God and his fallen creation! In Colossians 1:15-20 it is written:

“15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. 18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. 19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.” You asked about verse 23 where it is written: “23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

While it would not be possible for us to fully understand all that Jesus Christ had accomplished when he spoke the words, “It is finished,” God does not ask us to understand, only to trust in what has been revealed to us.

We can be comforted by Proverbs 3:5-6 where it is written:

“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

The Trinity is one God, in three persons, the only true reality by which we were created and now exist! As Christians, we have been given a close, personal relationship to the Trinity which defies our ability to even imagine.

After the First Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ, all who are born again by the power of God, the Holy Spirit, by faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, are eternally indwelt by God and share an eternal unity with the Holy Trinity.

Some verses which mean a great deal to me on this subject are 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:

“19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”

and, Galatians 2:20 where it is written:

“20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

I do not pretend to understand God or all God has done for Christians, but I do rejoice in his love for us and accept his presence in my life as a living reality!

While the world situation seems to be deteriorating rapidly, as Christians, we have the opportunity and privilege of looking to God and rejoicing in all he continues to do for all his Children!

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9

There has never been a better time to walk by faith, and not by sight!
