Thank You! 100,000 Views and Counting!

It took just under 11 years to get to 50,000 and slightly over 3 years more to get to 100,000; many thanks to my faithful readers for making this happen!

I created “Life from a Christian Perspective” to provide a record of those Christian principles around which I have tried to build my life. In 2011, I was thinking about my family, and realized I had no idea what my father and grandfathers thought about the deeper matters of life.

We had never taken the time to discuss them at all! This left me with a feeling of sadness and regret and I resolved to leave a written record of my thoughts and feelings on those deeper matters which have shaped my life.

It was not, until I was older, that such thoughts began to occur to me. As a young man, the responsibility of supporting a growing family seemed to focus my thoughts on the present and I devoted little or no time to speculating on the past.

As an older man, however, I thought more about those who had a part in shaping my life as a child. It was then I began to speculate on what motivated them to do as they did; and realized I knew virtually nothing about their deeper thoughts on life and the Bible.

In 2011, I finally decided to do something about it, and started writing down my thoughts, using WordPress as the medium. Now, 15 years later, I have published 696 essays on “Life from a Christian Perspective” which have been seen by over 100,000 viewers.

I have one primary goal in all this, to see that the Lord Jesus Christ is glorified and stress the importance of the new birth by faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

A Richly Blessed Life

As I look back over my life, I can clearly see the Lord’s hand of blessing guiding my every step as I lived through both good times and bad! While I experienced some very difficult times, the Lord was there to see me through!

At this very moment, I am filled with thanksgiving and gratitude for the Lord’s gracious benevolence to me and my family. I am convinced that blessing follows obedience to the Lord’s commands. The Bible provides the guidance we need in Philippians 4:4-9 where it is written:

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
